Following is ceremony to helps connect with the Oneness of the flow of life…
Select an apple: Spend time at the grocery store, or where ever you get your fruit. Ask to be shown the apple that will join you in this ceremony. Be open to receiving the information as an intuition, or the apple may “stand out” to you, or even speak to your heart-ears. Don’t let any of the normal distractions hinder this initial point of your ceremony. Remember, it is the journey toward the encounter, the intention that is set in your spirit, that will lead you to the right Apple for you
Hold it where you find it: Take a moment to let Apple introduce itself to you, and respond by introducing yourself. Do not put it in plastic, but respectfully hand it to the cashier and ask that it be returned back to you. Wrap it in a bandana or napkin.
Preparing the merger: When you are ready to continue the ceremony, remove Apple from its wrapping and place it in a small bowl. Take the bowl with Apple, and a sharp knife, and find a place where you can sit comfortably. Set the bowl, knife and Apple reverently. Take some time and just allow Apple to tell you its story. Where is came from, who picked it, how it came to be where you found it, how it came to select you as its recipient of its nourishment and refreshment.
Tell Apple your story as well. How you came to be where you are, and how you prepared to meet it and bring it home. Ask that its energy merge with you so that the exchange of love and regard is mutual. Take your time with this preparatory process and honor the action of life given for life. Invite Apple to become you, and you it, so that the two of you can be of benefit to the Circle of Life, both transformed by Gift and Giver.
With each piece of Apple that you take in, let the moisture of the piece delight you, and as you swallow, remember your connection with Apple and all of life. Imagine the two of you becoming as One. There is no hurry… only the quiet consummation of the blessing Apple is giving you. Spend time with that reflection as you become aware of every aspect of Apple.
Collect any remaining pieces of Apple and feel the gratitude that you have something to share with others. Find a place outdoors. Ask Apple and the Spirits of place to show you where to place the remaining portions of Apple so that the small beings may also find nourishment. Call to them and let them know they are also honored by the gift from Apple. As you place Apple’s remaining pieces, show gratitude to the place where you are and to Apple for blessing you with its precious gift.
